Should I repair the damage before selling?
Compare an offer for the car as it stands with the cost and uncertainty of repairs. An existing written estimate helps, but you do not need to authorise new work just to request a vehicle assessment.
What damage should I photograph?
Show the entire car and close-ups of affected panels, wheels and the interior where relevant. Include mechanical symptoms separately; a photograph may not show an engine or transmission fault.
Can a damaged car still be considered a used vehicle?
Condition varies widely. Cosmetic damage, mechanical failure and structural damage affect the assessment differently. Give an accurate description rather than assuming every damaged car must be sold only for scrap.
